Free · on every save
A receipt for every PDF you save.
Keepsign doesn’t just write your file and hope. It reads it back, compares it with what you opened, and tells you what it found in a few lines anyone can understand.

Counted, not assumed.
Each save goes through the same list, on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
| Check | What the receipt tells you |
|---|---|
| Signatures | Each one before and after the save: valid, valid with permitted later changes, not valid, or couldn’t be checked, and why. |
| How it was written | “Added at the end” (the original bytes untouched) or “Rewritten”, with the reason when a rewrite was needed. |
| What’s still there | Form fields, notes, pages, attachments, layers, scripts, bookmarks, accessibility tags and XMP metadata, compared one by one. |
| What you changed on purpose | Fields filled, notes added, pages moved, zones redacted or erased, listed as expected changes so they don’t look like losses. |
| Field or page? | Whether a change touched only a form field or the page content itself. A signature allows the first and flags the second. |
| Fingerprint | A receipt number and the SHA-256 of every version of the file, so anyone can check later that it’s the same one. |
The check runs before the warning, not after the damage.
If something would be lost, Keepsign says so before writing: “This would remove 1 attachment” or “Ana Ruiz’s signature would no longer be valid.” You choose what happens.

Quiet when all is well
A small seal in the toolbar turns on after a clean save. The full receipt opens only when you tap it, or when something needs your attention.
- B
Versions you can go back to
Every save is a version. “Go back to this version” restores it exactly, because nothing was overwritten.

Send it with the file
Export the receipt as PDF or JSON, or tick “Attach the receipt” in Review before sending.
A receipt is not a certificate of authenticity
It reports what Keepsign checked in this file and what it found. It doesn’t say whether a document is genuine, or whether a signature is legally valid where you live. Those depend on the signer, the certificate and the people who receive it.
Questions
Does the receipt cost anything?
No. The receipt is part of saving, and saving without losing anything is free on every device.
What is the SHA-256 for?
It’s a fingerprint of the file. If someone runs SHA-256 on the PDF they received and gets the same value as your receipt, it’s byte for byte the file you saved. If one byte differs, the value is completely different.
Can my company require clean receipts?
Yes. With Keepsign for Teams an MDM can block saving any change that would invalidate a signature, and choose JSON receipts for its records.
